Proxy Submission Requirements

In order to maintain a list that ensures the distribution of quality proxy sites to proxy users that have gone through this site. All proxy sites that are submitted to the WebEvader.org proxy list MUST meet all of the standards that we expect from a high quality proxy site and that are listed below:

1) Submitted sites must be on a dedicated domain name, therefore subdomain proxy sites are not accepted. (Eg, proxy.yoursite.com )
2) Automatic redirection to other sites or a main proxy are not accepted. (IP based redirection is accepted.)
3) Sites must not have excessive advertisements, popup advertisements or survey advertisements that stop a proxy user utilising the proxy site after initially visiting it.
4) This should go without saying, but the proxy site MUST be a fully working proxy site.
5) No adult natured advertisements etc are accepted.
6) There must be a clearly visible link back to WebEvader.org proxy list on the front page of your site in order for it to be listed. If your site has hidden links and is found out, that site and its entire network will be permanently banned from our list.

Please note that this list may be updated or revised at any time and that it is recommended that you check this list regularly in order that your proxy sites are not removed or banned from our proxy list.

Also at WebEvader.org, we will not accept any proxy sites that have a domain name ending in .co.cc or .tk or any other free domain name.

As of 30/8/2012, we will now accept proxy listing sites onto the WebEvader.org proxy list. However, we will only accept proxy sites and proxy lists and no other proxy related sites. Please note that all the submission requirements listed above are still required when you submit a proxy list ( apart from number 4…).

Proxy Communities & Forums ?

Do you want to get in touch with other proxy web-masters, but are not sure where to find them?

Here you can find an up to-date list of the largest and most worthwhile proxy communities currently on the internet. If you have been involved in the proxy business for a decent stretch of time, you will know how proxy communities tend come and go very quickly with only a few lasting the test of time. After seeing another proxy forum being created this past month (TalkProxies.com). I thought it would be worthwhile to gather a list of the best and most established proxy communities out there which will be worthwhile to join.

It is very challenging to create and establish long lasting proxy communities. We have experienced this ourselves at WebEvader.org, when we ran a proxy forum which was initially successful (for a couple months) but which soon ran out of steam and ended up being removed from the site due to inactivity. This is mainly due to the proxy business being a short term venture for many, as only a few people every year are able to make enough money to keep themselves interested in the business and then maintain it through the summer holidays. The rest normally move on to other internet ventures, but some come back every few years but don’t ever really “make it“.

Over the past 5 years, there have been only three standout proxy communities that have been constantly active. (Listed below in order)

1. Proxy.org – http://proxy.org/forum/index.html

Proxy.org can be considered the heart of the proxy industry. More so, since Glype was acquired by them a year and a bit ago. Their forum is always active and has the most knowledgable proxy webmasters regularly posting in their community. Not only that but it is consistently the most active and probably oldest proxy community around.

2. DigitalPoint (Proxy Discussion Thread) – http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=399487

The Proxy Discussion Thread was created by the user “Antman” in 2007, and since its inception now has well over 20,000 posts spanning 1000 pages and has been viewed over a million times! This thread is constantly active (sometimes with spam/low quality content) with new and old webmasters sharing information. What is also beneficial is the marketplace at DigitalPoint which has made the thread so active to this day, as you will be able to constantly find people buying and selling proxy networks daily.

3. Netbuilders – http://www.netbuilders.org/web-proxies/

Lastly, there is Netbuilders. This forum has recently dipped in activity. But over the last few years has been a hive for proxy webmasters and especially proxy list owners to discuss the ins and outs of the proxy industry. Hopefully this community will be able to get through the latest patch of inactivity and keep its place on this list for the next few years.

Thank for reading this article, if you run or know a successful, established and active proxy community that we haven’t mentioned. Please contact us here.
